The members of the Lions Club of Kuala Pilah since than, have been very active in social work in the District of Kuala Pilah, helping the poor and needy, old and young. We are not a Charity club, but a social club. We do and organize projects and activities to raise funds to help those in need.

Our most outstanding project to date which has been recognized by the Kementerian Kebajikan Masyarakat (Welfare Ministry)  was in 1994 where we refurbished  the Handicapped Children’s Center with new desks and chairs specially made for handicapped children. The Government recognized and appreciated our social work by rewarding us with a certificate and a cash donation of RM5000.00 through the than Welfare Minister, Dato’ Napsiah Omar. Since than we have also received another grant of RM2500.00 from Bato’ Napsiah Omar for another major project, the Lions Bus Stop Shelter in front of the Kuala Pilah Hospital. Presently the LionsClub of Kuala Pilah is rebuilding the Lions Park, a children’s playground near the Rest House, Kuala Pilah.

In the year 1990, the Lioness Club was formed in Kuala Pilah, sponsored by the Lions Club of Kuala Pilah. This dedicated group of Ladies has done the Lions Club proud and showed the true spirit of Lionism in organizing major projects and activities. To complete the family, the Alpha Leo Club of Chung Hua was formed in 1994 and the Omega Leo Club in 1996. These young LEOS are learning hard and fast and will be excellent social workers in future.

For the Fiscal Year 2003/2004 our club endorsed our most active club & Cabinet Officer Lion Navin Khandhar to vie for the post of Vice District Governor.

Lion Navin has been a very dedicated Lion from the day he joined our club in 1992, was the secretary the following year and  was elected president for the Fiscal Year 96/97. His year as the president earned him the Outstanding President Award from the District and International 100% President’s Award from Lions Club International. He was also awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship.

Since then Lion Navin has served the club and District with the same dedication and commitment. He has served in the Cabinet as Zone Chairman, District Chairman for Lioness & PDRM(NS), & Region Chairman, earning himself Outstanding and Excellence Awards all the years.  Lion Navin also earned 2 International President’s Certificates of Appreciation,  from  International President(2002/2003), J. Currently, Lion Navin is serving in the Cabinet as the District Chairman for Leadership Development, R4, after having served one year as District Chairman for Youth Program-Region 4. He organized a very successful District 308 B1 Youth Camp 2002, in Kuala Pilah.
